Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A chopper flying near a popular California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers watched.
Videos shared on the internet depict the helicopter beginning to twirl over the beach then descending in the direction of the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the accident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Details on their injuries were still under review.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
